SequelCare of Florida

SequelCare of Florida has been serving children and families for more than 15 years. We currently provide mental health, substance abuse, and Children's Targeted Case Management services for approximately 800 children and families in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. We also provide residential group care and therapeutic foster homes for children in the foster care system in the St. Petersburg and surrounding areas. Ninety percent of counseling services are provided in the family's home, the child's school, the child's daycare and/or in the community. SequelCare of Florida specializes in the treatment of severe behavioral disorders, severe mental health disorder, trauma-specific services, and cross-over youth (DJJ and DCF involvement) as well as working with stabilizing and strengthening families.

- Small group home programming for youth 10 to 17 with mental health disorders, some minor medical complications, severe behavioral disorders and youth dually engaged in the DJJ/DCF system
- Foster homes to provide services for sibling groups, children with severe mental health disorders and/or severe behavioral problems (Specialized therapeutic foster homes and therapeutic foster home)

Whom Do We Serve?
SequelCare of Florida provides an array of services to anyone who is in need and qualifies for our programs. Our group home programs and foster home programs require the child to be in foster care and meet eligibility requirements as outlined through the Specialized Therapeutic Foster Home Medicaid program. Our community-based care counseling and case management services are at no cost to the individual to anyone having the following Medicaid insurances: Amerigroup, Cenpatico/Sunshine Health, Comprehensive Behavioral, Harmony Staywell/Healthease, Magellan Behavioral Health, United Healthcare Services and Florida Medicaid. SequelCare of Florida does provide counseling services on a sliding scale fee for those who don't qualify under these insurance policies.
