President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Irby joined Sequel as Chief Operating Officer in March of 2011. He began his career as an English and Special Education teacher as well as a residential/recreation counselor at a school for emotionally disturbed children. He has since served as an Education Administrator at several schools. Over the past 24 years, Mr. Irby has served as COO for Camelot and FHC Health Systems (Alternative Behavioral Services and ValueOptions). He was the founding Executive Director for both The Pines Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility and First Home Care — the cornerstones of ABS. Mr. Irby held the position of CEO of ABS during the sales process to Psychiatric Solutions. He brings extensive provider-care experience and managed care leadership as well as relationships with major players and behavioral health care leaders.
